Using AI
how I work
Artificial intelligence is part of how I work: ideation, mood board design, programming, debugging and automated deployment. Each project sheet explains what was done with AI and what I decided, checked, corrected and produced myself.
How I work
-
Design system first
I give the images, the logo and visual references to an artificial intelligence, explaining the look I want in detail until I get the desired style. This step gives me a very high level of control over the visual style, since the programming is done with AI. It is worth redoing several times if needed, because it affects the whole structure of the site.
-
Evolving templates
I use a prompt template made for creating new websites and an AI project folder template that holds all the skills and instructions needed for the project to meet industry standards. These templates keep a mistake from happening twice: I fix it in my system, once and for all.
-
What I check
AI agents write the code and help with debugging, but the visual direction, the structural decisions, gathering content from clients, validating the result and deployment stay under my control. Deployment goes through Firebase with an automated process, so no step has to be redone by hand.
My tools
-
Anthropic’s coding agent, which I use to code and debug my sites, from my prompt and instruction templates.
-
OpenAI’s coding agent: like the other agents, it writes code and helps with debugging, under my direction.
-
Google’s AI model, which I integrate into my applications through the Gemini API: Goals uses it to analyze daily check-ins.
-
AI-assisted development environment in which I programmed and debugged the Goals application.
-
OpenAI’s conversational assistant, one of the tools in my workflow.
-
AI agent platform specialized in creating ads and brand visuals.
-
Figma feature that generates interactive prototypes from written instructions.
-
MCP servers (Model Context Protocol) connect AI agents to other software, such as Figma, so they can work directly from the design files.
AI in this portfolio
Tools
Claude Code (Anthropic) and Gemini (Google, through Vertex AI).
Uses
I used Claude Code to program the site from my Figma mock-up, build the animations from my briefs, add the project sheets from my case studies, write the automated tests and put the site online on Firebase. Gemini answers the questions of the site’s chat, from a knowledge file drawn from the site’s content.
Done by me
The Figma mock-up (layout, typography, colours and components), the animation briefs and their references, the choice of projects and content, and my case studies.
Checked by me
The rendering of every section at different screen sizes, and the corrections requested throughout the project (typos, sizes, animations). Every release went online with my approval.
