SAT posters

Welcome and Transition Service

Job project

SAT posters on two screens and a sidewalk sign: « Opération fin de session », « La procrastination vous vole votre temps libre » and « Gagner du temps, ça vous dit ? Passez en mode étude efficace ! ».

The Welcome and Transition Service (SAT) lacked a consistent, eye-catching visual language for its promotional material. Its existing posters were disjointed and struggled to catch the attention of its target audience, which reduced engagement with its services.

Brief and goal

A complete series of promotional posters to raise the visibility and engagement of the Welcome and Transition Service.

Role and responsibilities

Graphic design and visual identity.

Credits

Job project. The visual identity and the posters are my work.

Use of AI

I used ChatGPT’s image generation for the posters’ visuals, and Claude Code to add this sheet to the portfolio, from my former portfolio. My personal contribution includes the visual identity, the component system in Figma, the design of the posters and social media graphics, and the style guide.

Production steps

  1. Step 1: Visual identity and style

I drew on the few successful elements of the SAT’s former branding and modernized them. I chose a clear, highly legible type scale so the posters can be read from a distance.

SAT style guide: orange, white, brown and teal palette, heading hierarchy and the acronym « Soutien, Aide, Tutorat ».
  2. Step 2: Component system

To keep the whole thing scalable, I built a rigorous component system in Figma. It let me quickly try different poster layouts and social media formats, without breaking the brand’s rules.

SAT Figma components: logo with a pencil, « Conseil » label, « SAT (Service d’accueil et de transition) » block and orange « B-18 » banner.
  3. Step 3: Grid and colours

A strict grid organizes the information to keep a professional tone, while dynamic graphic elements and contrasting colours add energy.

SAT poster « Tous les lundis, B-18, café gratuit »: a latte in a blue cup on a wooden table.
  4. Step 4: Series of promotional posters

The system produced a series of print-ready promotional posters that stand out for their clear typography and consistent colours.

Series of SAT posters: « Café-conseils » for end-of-term exams with four tips, « Transformer un échec en réussite » and « Soutien, Aide, Tutorat ».
  5. Step 5: Social media and style guide

The project also includes Instagram graphics, a brand style guide and a component library, so the client can keep using the system.

Six SAT « Conseil » Instagram posts: asking teachers questions, explaining the material to someone, taking breaks while studying, starting assignments as soon as they are given, adjusting study time and writing down exam and due dates.

Technologies

Challenges

Striking a balance between a professional institutional tone and a modern, approachable aesthetic that appeals to a younger audience.

Solutions

I developed a unified visual identity inspired by the SAT’s mission, with a strict grid for information, dynamic graphic elements and vibrant contrasting colours, so the posters stand out.

Final result

A versatile design system the client can keep using: print-ready posters, Instagram graphics, a style guide and a component library, approved by the client and rolled out across the campus.
